Whilst we cannot meet together in person,  we have moved our prayer, teaching and support small groups onto the online platform ‘Zoom’, which will allow us to see one another’s faces as we share in church life.

Details for joining any of the groups can be obtained by contacting either the Vicar (vicar@stlawrencelechlade.org.uk, tel 01367 253651) or the Parish Office (info@stlawrencelechlade.org.uk).
Below are brief descriptions of the groups.

Monday Ladies Fellowship 1.30pm

This is a small group for ladies who meet every Monday to pray and learn and support each other.

Monday Evening Monthly Parish Prayer 7.30pm

Members of the Parish meet monthly on a Monday evening to pray for our Church, our Community, our Nation and our World, together with specific personal prayer needs of individuals known to us.  You are welcome to join us, whether or not you have been to a prayer meeting before.  There is no pressure to pray out loud.

Monday Evening Bible Study Group 7.30pm

Led by Mary and David Bainbridge, this study group meets for 90 minutes approximately every other week (dependent on the Parish Prayer meetings!)

Monthly Men Aloud Out 7.30pm

This is a small group for men who meet monthly on Tuesday evenings at the moment online to socialise and support each other.

Wednesday Morning Prayer Meeting 9.30am

Under normal circumstances, a small group from our church family meet every Wednesday morning to pray for our Church, our Community, our Nation and our World, together with specific personal prayer needs of individuals known to us.  Now that we cannot meet in person, we are meeting online via Zoom for 30 minutes.  You are welcome to join us, whether or not you have been to a prayer meeting before.  There is no pressure to pray out loud.

Monthly Wednesday Mothers’ Union 2.30pm

Whilst we are not able to meet together in person, Mothers’ Union has also gone online!  We meet via Zoom on the 2nd Wednesday afternoon each month.

Thursday Evening Study Groups 7.30pm

We usually spend the first 30 minutes together, when we will share in a hymn, some prayers and a short Bible video presentation.  After this we will move into Zoom ‘breakout rooms’, which are smaller groups with hosts who will lead a Bible reading, with the chance to share thoughts, and any prayer needs if desired for a further 30-40 minutes.  No one will be asked to read or pray out loud, except whilst we join together for the Lord’s Prayer, so if you only feel comfortable watching, that will be fine.
