Youth & Children's Activities @ the Ark At St Lawrence, we recognise that children are a very important part of the church family and that their spiritual learning and well being is paramount. Children from 3 to 14 years old meet during the 10.00am service on Sundays for teaching and worship in their various groups for @ The Ark on Sunday in Church Cottage. @ The Ark also meets as part of a monthly Saturday Club and is attracting over 30 children. @ The Ark on Sunday groups are called Bubbles (for 5s and under), Splash! (for 5 to 8s), Xstream (for 8 to 11s) and theGRID (for 11 to 14s). SUbstance ( for 14 -18s) may happen in the future. A crèche area called the Children's Zone is
available during the 10.00am Sunday morning service for parents with
young children. We have a Youth Worker, run regular Youth events and also hold an All Age Youth Service every month. St Lawrence school participated in the Gloucester Diocese initiative 'Easter Experience' this year and the children manned displays around the church. Each display depicted a key part of the Easter story. Many visitors to the church were given a verbal account by the children and many commented very favourably on the high standard of work by the school
Fun at the Seaside during the @ The Ark summer outing.
The church also maintains close contacts with its primary school. The school caters for 4 to 11 year olds. Further details can be obtained from the school website.
