Study & Prayer

As a Church we aim to provide opportunities for study, prayer and fellowship to provide support to one another and to help continue our growth as Christians.

There are a number of organised study and prayer activities including our evening and daytime Groups. Our Church also gathers together for a Parish Prayer Meeting.

Bible Study and Fellowship

House Groups meet in local homes on a regular basis. Christianity Explored is for those who want to know more about the Christian Faith. In Depth is where we go deeper than the typical sermon or study with burning questions that need answers. Sometimes it’s easier to talk about faith in a single-sex group. Men Aloud Out meet over a pint (of beer or lemonade, whatever takes your fancy) at the Trout Inn. The Ladies Bible Study runs fortnightly. There are also evangelistic Men's Breakfasts and Ladies Breakfast. For those who want to go a little deeper, our Reading Groups provide the perfect opportunity. Groups read a chapter from a theological book and then discuss it at a monthly meeting. There are also Parish socials.

Prayer Meeting

Prayer is an essential part of the Church’s service to the world, and it underpins everything that we do as a Church. The Parish Prayer Meeting is an hour long monthly event held in Church Cottage, focussed on supporting our Church’s work in prayer.  Each topic is introduced and then the people present pray, either out loud or in silence. Congregation members are also encouraged to form Prayer Triplets for support and prayer.

“All scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2Timothy 3:16)
