St Lawrence Church, Lechlade
Church Related Groups
We are a thriving Christian group here in Lechlade, with lots of new members this year and welcomed members from other places who have moved here. We now have 44 ladies in our group and always warmly welcome visitors to all our meetings, lunches, trips out and garden gatherings. Our heart is in helping families locally and worldwide. It may be families who have met with troubled times or those who bring children to Church or those who need some practical help. We help with baptism preparation, marriage preparation, parenting (a new group beginning this month) and Sunday School (@the ark) in Lechlade. We base all of what we do on prayer and begin all our meetings with prayer. We have interesting speakers mostly of a Christian nature. We discuss government policies to do with family life. Many of us have had letters from the House Of Commons recently because of our views being listened to on the sexualisation of children. We find fellowship with one another and try to make a difference in our world. We are proud to parade our banner and to be members of such a worthwhile charity. We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Lechlade Memorial Hall. Subscription is £13.50 pa £2 each meeting. Contact Kathy Newton for details.
